After exploring the village, Cheng saw walkers setting off towards Taizi Pass with a guide and pack animals. He had not allowed the time or made the preparations to join them. The journey he had waited years to make ended with another journey left unfinished.
A destination can open another door
Some places become more interesting after arrival. A village walk may reveal a path you did not know existed, or a conversation may change what you want to understand. Leaving room for curiosity is part of planning well.
